How Committed Are You?

How committed are you? Do you get excited about something only to give up when it gets hard? Most people don’t want to commit to anything requiring change,  yet they wonder WHY nothing changes.

Therefore, nothing changes if nothing changes. So, I ask again. How committed are you? Are you interested or are you committed? Are you willing to give it all you’ve got to reach whatever that goal is you have?

What’s the difference between interest and commitment?

  • When you’re interested in doing something, you do it only when circumstance permit.
  • When you’re committed to something, you accept no excuses, just results.
  • Interest procrastinates; commitment focuses on what’s important.
  • Interest makes excuses; commitment constantly acquires new skills and solutions.

So which one are you?

 

Why are you holding back? What is stopping you from living the life you’ve imagined for yourself?

If you want it bad enough, if you’re committed, you’ll find a way to make it happen.

So how do you stay committed? 

GET YOUR MINDSET RIGHT

It all starts with your mindset, your belief. In order to truly “go all out” and make progress, you must make the decision to let nothing hold you back. You must take a good look at your life and decide that nothing is going to stand in your way of success.

MAKE YOUR GOALS CLEAR

Be clear about your goals and what you want. What’s your vision? Know exactly what you want, how you are going to get there and on what sort of timeline you plan to reach your destination.

FOCUS ON WHAT’S IMPORTANT

Don’t let the little things get in the way of what really matters. Put the important things first and know what they are.

HOLD YOURSELF ACCOUNTABLE

In order to stay committed, you need a way of holding yourself accountable. Use a weekly, daily system to keep you on track. Tell others what you’re doing and get yourself an accountability partner or a group of people who will help make sure you do what you said you were going to do.

FINAL THOUGHTS:

If you’ve been putting off anything in your life, I invite you to ask yourself why. What are you waiting for?

Perfect timing? Are you waiting for the stars to align in your favor? If that’s what you’re waiting for, I’m about to drop a truth bomb on you…

It will never come.

The time is now, step up, get committed and get it done!! Whatever it is, believe in yourself, work hard and get going NOW!

Life is short. Give something (or everything) all you’ve got 100%!! COMMIT!!
