What is a Brain Dump?

You know how you have those days where things happen to go a little bat $#!+ crazy?

Like you feel like you’re out there treading water and you start going under? Like you feel like you’re spinning your wheels and getting nowhere? Yeah, that’s pretty much how today has been going for me. Even the video I tried to make for this blog cut out on me!! SERIOUSLY!!

I’m sure we’ve all had a day or 2 or 3 or maybe even 4 just like this. Nothing seems to go right and you feel like you aren’t getting anything accomplished yet you seem super busy. I feel like time was standing still yet flying by as I pretty much got NOTHING done. I decided I needed a little time out and had to walk away from everything. I took a shower, you may need a calgon bath but, whatever it takes, just know it IS temporary.

So how did I handle this craziness and everything that way on my damn mind driving me insane? I sat myself down with a piece of paper and had a little brain dump! WHAAAT? Yep, a brain dump. I sat down with pen and paper and wrote down everything that was on my mind that I felt I needed to get out on paper.

I seriously just sat there and basically wrote out everything that was on my mind, this way I can let it all out. From there I look at what needs to be done ASAP and get on that! The rest are just crazy thoughts that were fogging up my brain and getting in the way.

Once I have it all out on paper, I can look at the big picture and figure out how and when I am going to get these things done. Some may get done sooner than others and some may never get done. It’s all a matter of planning it out based on priorities,

I actually have a sweet little system I use once I brain dump and get thing written out. There has to be a little system to follow and I have a nice little download it you’d like to check it out.
