What does Sugar do to Your Heart?

We may earn money or products from the companies mentioned in this post.

Did you know that SUGAR is the culprit of heart disease? Would you believe me if I told you that was the truth?

Remember yesterday, I talked about the havoc sugar has on your body. Well, wait until you hear what it’s doing to your heart.

All this things I talked about yesterday from putting you at risk of diabetes to causing inflammation, all stress your heart.

First off, sugar can obviously cause gum disease. I mean, that’s where we start it in our system, our mouths. Gum disease can contribute to heart disease. You shouldn’t really have more than 35 grams ( that’s on the high side) of sugar a DAY!! A can of pop has 39 grams! How do your teeth feel now?

It is SUGAR, not fat, that causes heart disease! Don’t believe me? Take a look at what Dr. Mark Hyman has to say about it. More and more doctors are figuring this out and speaking about it so we can all be informed.

Sugar contributes to weight gain which causes poor cardiovascular health. It increases your triglycerides which then can raise your blood pressure, lower your HDL ( good cholesterol) and heared and clog your arteries.

I know an occasional snack is inevitable but, for the sake of your health, you should look into lowering your daily sugar intake. If you’re one who is taking in MORE than 35 grams of sugar a day, which is most people, you may want to reconsider.

Now, I’m not here to convince you of anything. BUT, we don’t know what we don’t know. Am I right? I just want to open peoples eyes up to this so they can, as I always say, make an educated decision. You have to educate yourself EVERY DAY when it comes to your health.

There is just so much we aren’t being told and through my own research, I have found many articles that are coming into publish that are redirecting what we have all been taught when it comes to the foods we are eating. Please be sure you are doing your homework.
