Pillars of Success: Have a Game Plan

In order to be successful, you have to first make a decision and then commit to it. If you’re going to make anything happen, you have to have a game plan for your success. Without a plan of action, you won’t get anywhere very fast.

It’s like mapping out a trip with your GPS. You have to map out your game plan for your success. Set up a time line of events, set deadlines and keep moving forward no matter what.

Your game plan is specific to you. You have to figure out what it is that will get you the success you are looking for. Deep down you pretty much know exactly what it is you have to do, it’s just putting it into action and planning it out that needs to be done.

You have to discipline yourself for a period of time to do exactly what is necessary to accomplish your game plan. Don’t be afraid. If you have fear, you have to attack it head on. You made a decision to commit to do whatever it takes to get the job done.

If this is something you truly WANT to be successful at it won’t seem like hard work at all. You’ll become better at it each time you plan it out and work your plan. There may be struggles and you may have to go back and recalculate your “trip” but there’s more than one way to get there and you can do it.

Create a plan, strategize it and execute it every day.

Here are some great tips when it comes to setting up your game plan for success

  1. Start with a goal and break it down. Succeeding at anything requires you to start with the end in mind, set deadlines.
  2. Determine the skills you need to learn.
  3. Keep track of successes and failures.
  4. Keep playing to win.
