If it were possible to fix your hypothyroidism and adrenal fatigue just by fixing your gut would you want to hear more?
Many people who are taking meds for hypothyroidism and/or adrenal fatigue MAY STILL have symptoms still thinking is it the thyroid BUT it’s more so that the SYMPTOMS are not under control. Your meds may be fine but the reason you may still have symptoms is that the REAL problem is in your GUT!
Leaky gut syndrome is almost always associated with autoimmune disease. In fact, reversing symptoms of an autoimmune disease depends on healing the lining of the gastrointestinal tract. Any other treatment is just symptom suppression.
There are many people out there suffering from leaky gut and they have no idea. Leaky gut syndrome does NOT just affect the digestive system, but in reality, it can lead to many other health conditions. Food allergies, low energy, joint pain, thyroid disease, autoimmune conditions and slow metabolism could be leaky gut symptoms progression, just to name a few.
When you have leaky gut, the food you are consuming is NOT being digested or absorbed properly and is actually LEAKING into your bloodstream and causing quite a few health issues. These toxins that may be leaking into your body can lead to inflammation throughout your whole system and can cause symptoms, such as bloating, food sensitivities, thyroid conditions, fatigue, joint pain, headaches, skin issues like rosacea and acne, digestive problems and weight gain.
The good news is there’s a solution to successfully healing leaky gut. There is a four-step process that includes:
REMOVE foods and factors that damage the gut
REPLACE with healing foods
REBALANCE with probiotics
Improving your gut health can greatly improve thyroid autoimmunity and thyroid hormone absorption (your meds).
So how do you go forward with this 4 step process? Your body needs to be able to get rid of the toxins properly and your gut needs to be able to heal, which is EXACTLY what I will be talking about in the next 2 episodes in this series.
