Having a Bad Day || The Secret Thoughts of a Woman

There are times when you just feel like you’re having a bad day, that Terrible, Horrible, No Good Very Bad Day and you could curl up into a ball and sob as you just leave the world behind you.  I’m here to tell you that you’re not alone. Especially if you’re a female and/or a mom.

There are just those days where you feel like everything is going to fall apart and if you have to make ONR MORE decision about something, you may just lose your shit! You feel like you’re losing your mind and you want to run far, far away from it all. Trust me, I know this feeling. Why do you think I am writing this?

I’m having one of those “WTF moments”. That moment when you ask yourself what in the world am I supposed to do to get out of this funk? I mean, this is just one of those moments! A moment when you feel completely helpless and feel as though you are barely keeping your head above the water. You feel like everything is caving in on you yet, you’re not even quite sure WHY! AND good lord, if anyone knew you had these thoughts, they may just think you’re going crazy!

The dog smells, the house is a mess, you don’t “feel the love” from the ones you thought were in your corner and you can’t seem to find the silver lining to this dark cloud that has come over you. You’re even afraid to ask for a shoulder to lean on.

Is it menopause sneaking up on you? Are you being “hormonal”? Are you overreacting? OR are you making it actually mean more than what it really is? Are you getting inside your own head?

Seriously, it’s just a Terrible, Horrible, No Good Very Bad DAY, not LIFE! Right? We can drive ourselves nuts over thinking all of this nonsense. It really won’t matter 2 weeks from now, will it? That’s what I tell myself when I start to obsess over the drama and craziness.

It’s up to me to decide how I am going to handle the Terrible, Horrible, No Good Very Bad DAY. Will I let it completely take over my mind and my SANITY and ruin a good tomorrow or will I vent, decompress and realize it’s not that big of a deal?

 

 

Everyone’s life can tend to get a little overwhelming and crazy and things can take over in our heads and make it into an awful thing we ever thought we could go through. Well, guess what? My good days outweigh my bad days and so far, I’ve made it through everything that has come my way. I’m not saying I have never cried a million tears over things or wanted to scream at the top of my lungs. What I’m saying is, I’ve made the choice NOT to let it mean too much and get into my head and drive me crazy.

I’ve taken that anger, frustration, and hurt and turned it into something that can fuel the positive. It’s the only way to GET OVER IT!! For real, build that bridge and get over it. Don’t stay miserable and frustrated over things forever. Get it out and get over it.

That which angers you controls you. Get rid of the anger and move on, it’s not worth it.

So my advice to you when you feel like you’re having the most awful day ever is to realize it is what it is…JUST A DAY, not a life. It’s up to you to turn it around and live the life you deserve, quit making it mean more than it is and get out of your own darn head.

I promise, you’re not losing your mind, we’ve all had these days. You can choose to let it rule you or you rule it!! It’s all up to you!
