Time Saving Strategies With Time Blocking

We may earn money or products from the companies mentioned in this post.

Time blocking is an effective strategy for using time wisely and achieving greater productivity. Time blocking allows you to split up your day into different-sized chunks, with each chunk dedicated to a specific task (or set of tasks) — important and necessary — that you have to work on. I generally use a timer while I am getting work done during my time blocks. Once the timer rings, I’m done for the day with that task. Whatever isn’t finished goes on my list of “to-do’s” for the next day.

I have to break up my day in this manner to get more done on schedule. I prioritize by which is the most important and has to get done first. I sometimes set that task with the biggest time slot. I try not to go over 4o minutes without a little break in there or my mind will just get overloaded.

I went LIVE on my facebook page and explained a bit more about time blocking and how I use it in the video below.
