5 Easy Ways to Take Care of Yourself Daily

Why is it so important to take care of yourself daily? Well, if you can’t take care of YOU how do you expect to take care of others?

I know it’s hard when you’re busy taking care of everyone else and doing for them but it is so important to take a few minutes every day to take time for yourself and do a little self care.

How, you ask? Well, you can do it by just taking 5 minutes out of your busy day for YOU. That’s exactly why I created this 5 day downloadable journal just for you. You’ll find out that when you do something daily for yourself, even if it’s very simple, you’ll find yourself a happier person.


Here are some great additions you can add daily to be sure you are taking care of yourself:

1. Wake up without distractions:

This means leave the phone alone, get up without checking social media and be present in the moment. Stretch and take some deep breaths and soak in the morning. Too many people roll over and grab their phones and start checking social media or their emails.Sometimes you just have to unplug. I don’t even keep my phone in my room for that exact reason.

2. Workout:

Meditate or do some yoga or deep breathing. Whatever it is, it helps clear your mind and feel empowered. Take a walk outside and enjoy the sounds of nature. It is amazing how great you can feel after a quick little workout.

3. Keep a Journal:

Life can be very busy.  A journal is great to write out things you did, how you felt about things during the day. It’s a great outlet to help you be present in the moment, remember the little things and sort out challenges in both your personal and professional life. It’s also great to go back and read old entries and relive the moments.

4. Schedule Time for Yourself:

We’re always so busy filling our calendars with doctors appointments for the kids, sports practices, calls, meetings and deadlines that we usually don’t schedule in time for ourselves.  Be sure to schedule blocks of time for yourself. Schedule time in the morning for some exercise, meditation or journaling or in the evening to visit with friends or just relax.

5. Get Enough Sleep:

This is probably the most important one right here. So many people lack sleep and we walk around like zombies half the time.We don’t give our bodies as much rest as they need to fully function. Sleep is not only good for the body, but it is also good for the mind. A well-rested body and mind can accomplish great things.


Be sure to take care of YOU. It is the most important thing you can do in order to take care of all those people we love in our lives.
