We seem to jump from one diet to the next, hoping our waist will get smaller and the number on the scale will go down…BUT at WHAT COST???

I NEVER once thought about the cost “back in the day” BUT…

In this episode, I’m going to be talking about the COST and the LONG-TERM effects that no one talks about when it comes to dieting. I would hop from one diet to the next hoping that MAYBE this one would be THE ONE only to end up pissed off, disappointed and feeling like a failure because THEY DIDN’T WORK!!

TRUTH BOMB…DIETS SUCK AND THEY DON’T WORK!!! Took me half of my life to figure it out and to realize that I WAS indeed suffering these long-term effects but just ignored them. 

 

Effects such as: 

  • Decreased Metabolism
  • Loss of Muscle Mass
  • Food Obsession
  • Disordered Eating
  • Guilt, Shame, Anxiety when the diet DOESN’T WORK ( even if it worked last time) 
  • Negative self-talk
  • Bingeing or Overeating
  • Rebound Weight Gain

 

YEP, all of the above, and then some, happened to me yet I never saw it or realized what it was doing to my health. 

I have weekly discussions with clients about different diets or “lifestyle programs” they have been told to go on. Many don’t consider the long-term damage that is done from even just 6 months-1 year of dieting. 

This is what is promoted in the diet land where you’ll be your best self and healthy…THIS is NOT health! In fact, it’s quite the opposite if you ask me AND I LIVED IT!! Such a bunch of fuclery if I do say so myself!!

If you want to become your healthiest self, we must start at the ROOT cause, and trust me, it’s about so much more than the scale girlfriend  The good news? You DO NOT have to diet in order to be healthy or feel your best self.
